Its my first day and My male supervisor told a nurse to train a beautiful young lady (me). He said it with pronounced intonation in front of everyone in the office. I got kinda embarrassed because I felt like the spotlight was all on me and felt like it was do unnecessary. I dont even think im beautiful. Some do but some don't. I don't know if he even meant it or if he's just being nice. It was ego boosting but embarrassing he said it in front of everyone.

Whether he meant it or not, it sounds like welcoming you like that is just part of his personality. Kind of like if you’re the new kid in class and the teacher introduces you in a fulsome way that’s a bit embarrassing and the class sorta laughs but it’s meant to be kind and make you feel comfortable.

If he said it in a professional setting, assume it's politeness. It could easily be honest, so just enjoy the compliment and move on unless it becomes a problem.
