Guy I like secretly has started being off with me?

He doesn’t know that I have a crush on him, I would tell him but I have a really bad fear of rejection. Recently, he’s stopped responding to anything I post and doesn’t message me first anymore like he has done for months. Even when I do initiate conversation, either by responding to something he has posted on social media or just in general, he cuts off the conversation really quickly. He has only started being like this the past few days and even when he is going through a tough time he at least, barely minimum, responds adequately. It’s never been like this. I think he’s been talking to another girl, that he also likes himself but I can’t tell and im really sad. I don’t know what to do.

Aww girl I'm sorry that's happening, that really sucks ☹️ Rejection is scary but not knowing what's up is even worse!

My advice would be to try chatting with him openly about it instead of assuming the worst. Maybe say something like "Hey I've noticed you seem a little distant lately, is everything ok between us?" That gives him a chance to open up without feeling confrontational.

If he owns up to talking to someone else that would really sting, but at least you'd know. And who knows, maybe it's something else completely! Guys can be weird.

Either way, don't lose confidence in yourself just yet. You're an awesome catch and any guy would be lucky to have you! If this one's drifting away it's his loss. But for now, communicating honestly is your best bet for clarity.
