As far as I know, the only women who would leave their purse in a guy's car/home is his mom, a close sibling/cousin or an SO. A purse tends to have a woman's essentials in it, so they don't leave it somewhere unless they're super comfortable with the person...

So... either he was with a family member OR you're the "other woman" and he has an SO who isn't you...
