Although I didn’t sleep with him, his lies and subsequent ghosting caused me significant mental and emotional distress. I believe he had a girlfriend and was using me, even after I specifically told him that I was protecting my emotional and mental well-being at all costs. He said things like, “What’s the safest way to talk to you?” and “I can understand if you dealt with certain people, but you shouldn’t punish everyone for someone else’s sins,” using these lines to get me emotionally attached, only to end up treating me like nothing.
He became less careful with his words and aimed to make me feel insecure instead of just manning up and telling me he wasn’t interested. I think men who do that are sexual predators, and I would like him to pay out of pocket for a year’s worth of therapy.
