You probably did something that made him think you have some kind of conflict with him. Is there some reason you couldn't just ask him directly? He's the only person who can really answer this question.

I could of but there was others around us when he asked me that which that’s why I’m asking why would he ask me that when others where around, shouldn’t that been a personal question

Yea I think he still was holding a grudge against me so that’s why I wasn’t expecting him to ask me that at the moment at least that’s what I think he was referring to
