Whats it like to be a single, childless man over the age of 40 ?

I work with lots of middle aged men and most are married with a family and it has nothing to do with money and looks there's men at my work who are 5ft, fat, bold and aren't the riches and have a very happy family life before the incels get mad.

There's a couple men at work who just seem to haven't got married and started a family and live all alone and I just find it strange. It makes me wonder especially because a lot of that generation of men weren't raised to be domesticated as it was expected for the wife to be.

Some of these men have no family at all and I just imagine it to be extremely lonely. Some of these men are extremely shy and socially awkward so that kinda explains it but there's a lot that are perfectly normal and just aren't interested in relationships with women.

It's actually really nice to hear your guys opinions and that your still living fulfilling life's without a family of your own. I understand it's not for everyone but it's so expected in society for us all to be settled one day

What's it like? Yes it's lonely, but you learn to enjoy other things in life and find things to occupy your time. I'm one of those shy and socially awkward types so socializing wears me out. The old saying: "either you got it, or you don't" seems to apply here. Most people are born with the ability to meet people and form relationships, others don't. Personally, I've never been interested in having children, but it would be nice to find the right lady.

It's great!
Half my stuff isn't all sticky, and the other half isn't missing.
Actually, I never had kids, I just never had the dad gene in me.
I was so busy having fun, doing what I wanted when I wanted, I really love my life how it is.
I don't have any regrets about not having kids at all.
I was never lonely, I had lots of friends, and was always busy.

Alone doesn't mean lonely. There's lotsa reasons why they may be 40+ single. I know a few and the common denominator is they are selfish and emotionally stunted.

They might be gay. Or maybe they have been in really bad relationships and gave up on it.

I am single, very much like it. I have many friends with benefits and friends so have time to spend with me. I never feel lonely.

I’m 32 and have no kids. I’m neutral about it.




Would I want kids? Sure.




But at the same time I’m not losing sleep over not having kids. It is what it is
