Put himself in a position to cheat?

So my boyfriend and I were talking about the aspect of cheating. Normally when he reassures me, he tells me that he’ll “never cheat on me”. However, last night while talking he said “I’m not Jesus, I don’t think I’m going to cheat. But I wouldn’t put myself in a position to possibly cheat”

I freaked out (do I have any reason to?) and he said he had watched a video from Brandon Tatum, about cheating, and how the YouTuber said he’s seen good men cheat and has also seen men that have always said “I’m not going to cheat” end up cheating. So my boyfriend goes on to explain that the YouTuber has to “check himself” to not put himself in a position to cheat. My boyfriend said that he agrees with the YouTuber on all he said and that he knows he won’t cheat on me, but doesn’t know if he’ll cheat also because he’s can’t see into the future and so would not put himself in a position to potentially cheat…

I don’t know what to think about this. I can’t picture myself cheating on him and I’ve been in situations with males around and don’t see them beyond platonic… What do you guys think? Can I trust him?

Every woman that said they wouldn't cheat, has swallowed by stuff without me putting in any effort. You know why? Because they put themselves in a position to cheat. As soon as YOU feel insecure, horny and vengeful at the same time a high-value male makes himself available to you, you'll be rationalizing why it's okay to cheat on your dude.

Guys know this, that's why we avoid these situations for ourselves, and do what we can to keep our women out of those situations too. It's basically the difference between men being honest with themselves and women lying to themselves. He was low-key weird for being honest with you though. He should just lie the same way that women lie to their men.

No, I think that's stupid to be honest about that kind of thing. That's why I called the guy stupid for saying what he said. Honesty doesn't have to be a hammer you hit people over the head with. We should all just know in our hearts that loyalty is a spectrum and it ebbs and flows. I've witnessed it repeatedly in my relationships and all the relationships of everyone I know.

Can you trust someone who puts his trust in a you tuber over his own convictions? Can he not give his own word and not change his mined?
Ask him if there were no you tube would he still be so indecisive?
Let your yes mean yes and your no mean no. A double minded man is like a wave in the ocean being tossed to and fro…. He is unstable in all of his ways….

I don't really see this an issue. He's turned into a more proactive stance that isn't just
"my personality says i will never cheat"
he's now "I will personally ensure i will never cheat"

he was just honest with you... he knows his limits and doesn't want to create a situation where something can happen... You should be happy you have a boyfriend like that

He's just saying that he thinks he can trust himself but being realistic. Anyway, he's avoiding any possible temptations so that should be a good thing.
