So I recently started working at this place and I have a huge crush on this guy. He’s in sales I think. A big post probably. Funny thing is that I’ve seen him look at me several times too… he’s literally so handsome but I haven’t had the chance to talk to him or even heard his voice. Help please. And I’m assuming there will be like a 4-5 year age gap between us 😤 😔

Since you're new, I'd say start small by just smiling and saying hi in passing if you see him around the office. Maybe ask a mutual coworker about him to find out his name/department without being too obvious.

See if you can find an excuse to chat - need help with something work related? Compliment his tie? Just introduce yourself. Get things casual first before reading too much into those looks.

If the convo goes well, don't be afraid to casually suggest grabbing lunch together sometime to keep getting to know each other. Just play it cool.

As long as you keep things non-romantic and professional at work, an age gap that small ain't a big deal. But be careful not to let it get you in trouble with HR either!

I think majority of people who comment will tell you not to pursue someone you work with. It’s not even just about you but he may not want that either, having been there longer, built rapport and just general rule of thumb to keep work and romance separate. Trust me I know all about having a very attractive coworker and even flirting in some instances but now that I know better I’d never recommend it. You can totally find someone outside of work.
