ugggghhhhh.
Stop waisting you time posting questions you already know the answers to.
Go talk to her. Ask her out to coffee, ask her to take her lunch break with you... walk outside the office. Be assertive, gain some courage and do it. When your eating lunch with her you can ask her questions about herself... it's amazing.
Conversely you could stare at her for the next 9 months until she's transfered to another department and you never see her again. Or you could go ask your friend Timmy to talk to her for you... that works really well.
Come on man! You know how to handle this situation. You and I both know that how you ask her and what you ask her will have absolutely nothing to do with weather or not she spends time with you. So just go up there, make a fool of yourself, and have a good time. If it doesn't work out you can make faces at her and throw paper airplanes at her as you walk by.

Maybe start by saying hi first? A casual greeting kind opens the door a little and it's pretty easy to do if you get nervous and are the shy type. After hi, ask her how her day is going, how is she doing etc. Does she have pictures on her desk- oh your son is cute, how old is he, oh wow, the Eiffle Tower, have you been to France? Did you like it? When I went...blah blah blah...Break the ice, talk to her about whatever common ground you have or can create and see where it goes. Maybe she's the most amazing woman you've ever met and you're wasting time wondering how to talk to her. Or maybe she's gorgeous but a total bore and you're wasting time worrying about her when another equally gorgeous woman who's also really interesting keeps trying to get your attention in vain because you're always staring at /thinking about the work beauty. Either way, talk to her and find out because waiting around is never going to get you anywhere!
