Guy says he’s sick and said he can’t come, is he lying?

Yesterday i invited a guy I have a crush on to come over today and watch a series with me that we started last week. We kissed last week but decided to not proceed as we both want different things.
Yesterday he said he’s down to watching the show together and sounded kinda enthusiastic.

Today he texts me saying “sorry I’m not feeling well so I’ll stay in”
And when I said hope you feel better he said thanks and sorry again.

I’m wondering if this is an excuse to get out of hanging out with me or if he’s genuinely sick. Guys, do you think it’s a lie?

Hard to say. Men don't constantly lie according to one person who answered. People get sick. Some easier than others. I don’t know his situation. Maybe he ate something really hot last night now he’s got an upset stomach. I’m not completely dismissing that ok maybe there’s a chance he’s not being honest, but again I don’t know him or what the whole situation is. Maybe he’s got some medical condition you don’t know about. A few women I work work w have IBS. Some days they’re good, some days they’re not. Maybe he was coming down w something over the last few days but ignored it cause he’s like most men, we ignore things like that. About a month ago I had a fever w a temp of 100.2. Then oddly the next day everything was back to normal. So who knows. You need to talk to him more. Possibly plan another day.

I say just text him. Could start off by asking if he’s feeling better. Maybe if you’re available ask him if he needs something? Maybe food or a drink. Then go from there.

It’s hard to say. But I would take it as it is. Maybe he’s really sick. But if he makes excuses every time. Then maybe he’s just too cowardly to say what he feels.

He’s likely lying. ”Not feeling well”. Yeah right. You don’t mention him saying anything about meeting up another day either. If he really wanted to see you he could explain he’s sick and say he wanna watch the series with you as soon as he feels better.
