1. Possibly they’re all going to that gym to get an innocent glimpse or two of the sexy little chippy who works next door. That’s super common and not really specific to your guy.


2. In the gym itself, some guys are very adept while others aren’t; maybe he doesn’t want to be judged by guys at work; maybe having other guys around him is distracting and throws him off his rhythm/routine. Sort of like this:
