I called him by the wrong name because I was watching a movie and their names are similar and he didn’t believe me so he sent me a message saying “have fun with him” then posted stories about going out to night clubs with friends of both genders. 🥲 so I calmly replied by saying “you know what I think we’re better off. I don’t know who that guy your talking about is but I guess I have to find him”

I mean, he kept accusing me of cheating behaviors and used to called me a lot before that but it’s been 5 days and I guess he won’t talk to me again because he just used it as an excuse. I talked to my friend who’s a psychologist and he told me that this guy has issues of being possessive and extremely jealous and if he’s like that now that we were getting to know each other for 2 months he can imagine how bad it’s going to get after. He only watches my stories everywhere but I guess he’s just not interested.

If that is true, then your psychologist friend missed out one very important trait. That, EVEN in jest is the action of a sociopath, and you would do well to avoid him like the plague.. That means online, offline, social media EVERYWHERE!

He has a lot of growing up to do, because he's far from being mature enough for a relationship. It's possible he could've been using that as an excuse, because somebody who's really into you is not going to just flip the switch and walk away like that. They will maybe keep asking who you were talking about, if it's somebody you still like, or will try to do things to get you to like them more because they worry you'll go back to whoever you called them by name.

You gave him a great response, and if I were you I would ignore him if he tries to reach out to you later. Which he is likely to do. But you don't want to take back somebody like that.

Is "HIM" your boyfriend or just someone you've just started dating? Either way, he has a very short temper, so you've dodged a bullet. On the other hand, it's pretty odd to have lapse like that... So check yourself to see what your feelings actually are for this guy. Don't sit around obsessing over his damned social media... If you want him, call him.

I don't think he's using this as an excuse at all. That would imply he had different intentions and was seeking a way out but that makes no sense because he doesn't need to. If he wants to be gone he's gone. I also don't think he's possessive. But he has probably been cheated on in the past or experienced cheating indirectly so he's on his toes about it.

Besides your own statement was basically a closer, you basically said you'd be better of looking for another guy. So if this is in the new stages of a relationship and I don't already have a strong connection with you i'd probably just have given up on you right there to.

No. The name is not even close to my previous relationships or guys I like. Only one started with that letter but his name is longer and the named I called him is similar to his name. I wanted to mentioned my exes names or guys I like so bad and even showed him proof but it’s not worth it. We were on the phone and he was like wait what did you called me? After posting this question he just called me. I really like him but I guess he’s not that into me. He’s very old fashioned even though he’s 2 years younger but that’s not an excuse.
