Why are guys nice then mean and hostile for no identifiable reason?

This happens a lot. I'll get acquainted with a guy and it will be fine then the next time they will be downright hostile or pretend I don't exist.

Or do passive-aggressive and ungentlemanly things to me for no reason at all.

A lot of times, guys will look and spy from afar but will not be able to interact normally.

Really, I'm a chill person and I would be a beach bum if I didn't have things to do. I don't get it.

Because “nice guys” are nice on a very thin layer and are quite dangerous people in my opinion. I had a guy friend that decided to call himself nice all the time “I’m Gomez, from Addams family” and one thing he couldn’t take is rejection from me. Used me in a year of our friendship thinking he would get a chance and raged on me when he found out I would never date him. And now he’s no longer friends with me because he allowed his not so nice side (his true self) to affect what he thought made him nice in the first place.

• It is about to being self confident pepson. Some guys scare from hot chicks or another guys are not caring about to ugly girls. So this situation is related to you if don't have enough physically beauty you will not attract theirs attention, however in other hand if you are physically so hott, this time they will think you are unreachable girl.

I would guess they see you as a potential date, realize you just see them as a friend, and then tone down the kind of gentlemanly acts they would reserve for a girl they were interested in. They may also overcorrect their previous kindness by being rude, which is pretty immature. But not uncommon with younger guys I guess.
