Why do men follow women they are attracted to?

As in I noticed some men were attracted to me and they would walk the same direction as me. Today I sat outside this store and I noticed this worker staring at me and when I got up and left I noticed he followed me to the intersection. Why do guys follow girls, whats the point and its also kind of crerepy

For the same reason why a woman will find a guy attractive. Look him up on social media. Go through his friends list and hunt down his family find out where his mom works or is going to be at a time. Casually bump into her. Befriend her. Casually mention she's single and when the mother says "oh I have a son about your age that you should meet".😆

All of this rather then just walk up to the guy and say "hi, my name is..."😆

Yeah, that's exponentially creepier if you ask me.😆

The point is that it offers the potential of an opportunity for interaction. When the entire burden of romantic pursuit is placed on one sex, that sex is going to be VERY motivated to engage in pursuit. And since the chances of success are so low, the most practical course of action is to take as many shots as possible.

So, no, it's not "creepy"; it's logical. Your feelings aren't more important than other peoples'.

Yeah, it's still the same impulse. If it bothers you, call it out: take him aside when he follows you (no need to make a scene) and firmly but politely ask him why he's following you. Let him know it bothers you, and ask him (again, politely; no need to START OUT on a bad footing) to stop.

I’ve been on the other side of this where I just happened to be walking in the same direction and she was glancing over her shoulder with tense body posture. It is incredibly frustrating but I guess she’s got it worse.

Also when I was younger sometimes I’d see someone and want to say something and I’d follow for a short distance before realizing I didn’t know what to say or she noticed me before I could come up with something. Which don’t do that unless you already know what you’re going to do because it’s an incredibly awkward position to be in

Yeah, it's really weird because I noticed when I show interest in guys, they seem annoyed so I don't ever chase guys unless they do. And some guys I like will follow but they never will talk to me

I would say it’s best to assume it’s a coincidence but it doesn’t mean you can’t start a conversation about literally anything with them. Then you have a little more to go off of.

Sometimes a guy is just trying to be a gentleman and girls overthink the thing and start calling it creepy.


This afternoon, for example, I was walking on the crowded street — and mind you everyone’s been super touchy here since the incident on Saturday… This one guy I’ve never seen before in my life made a little protective gesture for me to step ahead to a safe corner of the street and when it was time to cross he gestured for me to walk first. Now… as a city girl I have to say this sort of chivalry is very rare in the US. It’s way more common in Europe. ANYWAY, it was so sweet and touching… so appreciated at a time when everyone has been acting like savages… that I couldn’t help but smile.


So perhaps the guy in your case WAS a creep — I don't know who he is to you or what the full context was — but perhaps he was just being attentive for a moment, no harm, no foul.

Because they are attracted to her , hoping she will notice him , Now if he is just following her and not making any attempt to talk to her , than yes , that is kind of creepy , Girls’ do this to us guys’ as well , I been stalked by girls’ that were to shy to say anything , So i usually say Hi to her first and then say , can I help you with something? Or is there something on me that I am not aware of? I noticed you following me , usually she will smile and get all nervous and giggly , but it usually works to break the ice, if I find her attractive I will more than likely flirt with her back
