It's a huge compliment.
I feel 10 feet tall when she feels safe and secure when she's with me.
It's a great feeling when she slips her little hand trustingly into mine. Or when we walk with our arms around each other and she snuggles close.
I have one funny example.
The first time I met my future wife, we met at a restaurant. Our conversation was effortless and we chatted until the restaurant closed. We walked to our cars in the restaurant parking lot out back and continued chatting.
When we went to leave, we discovered that someone had locked the gate.
So I hopped over the 6' cider block wall and got someone from the restaurant to let us out.
Before we got in our cars, she stepped close, looked up into my eyes, put her hands on top of my shoulders, rose up on her tip toes, pressed her body against mine, and gave me a tender, lingering kiss.
After that first meeting, other things transpired but, long story short, we started dating exclusively.
When she told her friends how we met, she made it sound like I was Superman and had rescued her by hopping over that wall. She was being sincere. I was her hero. LOL
Yes I love this
Nice
You are welcome.
You are welcome🙂
I'm sure this was focused at men, but it's still a yes on my part as well (can't say I have a girlfriend, but that's besides the point). I want to be considered a safe space for all the people in my life regardless of gender etc.
You are is very nice, thanks for answering
I would think men would take that as a big compliment!

Yes, I do.
While safety may seem very basic, it is (from my observations) rare for women to truly feel 100% safe around a man who is not their husband. It's even more rare for women to verbalize that.
A woman who feels 100% safe is emotionally and physically protected, which speaks volumes to a man's character and (in my opinion) physical capabilities. Therefore, it is one of the highest compliments a woman can give a man.
I especially appreciate it because I did not grow up in a safe environment, and so it makes me happy to know that I have ended and even succeeded against that bad cycle.
That’s very good, happy for you.
Thanks :)
Right now we're just trying to stay accountable.
It’s very impossible
Important*
I'm glad I saw that after you corrected it 😂
Yes accountability is quite helpful
Sorry about that lol
No worries :) I make typos and grammar errors too.
I have a policy of not judging when someone makes a mistake because I know karma is a real thing 😂
So generous of you lol
Sooooo generous 😂 totally no sarcasm
No, not sarcasm at all lol
Out of nowhere, no not really, since it doesn't feel natural however, if we're talking about something, and it sort of leads into it, then yeah sure
I'm going to this thing with this girl in a couple weeks, and i asked her if she wanted to be in a hotel room, for it. While she didn't say yet if she exactly wants to stay the night with me, she did say she would at least "hang out" in the room, while we're waiting and or when it's over. The event is days, so, if she wants to stay, it's whatever, but, im not going to be like "oh, you have to stay" etc.. so, my point i was getting at here was, when i said "you're welcome to stay over with me, but, you'd have to chip in for it (money), and she's like, well, we'll see, i trust you, but, im not sure yet"
See how she sort of did that. It's gotta feel natural, ya know?
I wouldn't like if they do feel unsafe around others, or on their own...
Let me understand your answer for a minute. What is your feeling?
well, if she feels safe... with me
does that mean, she didn't feel safe with others? has she not felt safe with other before? does not she not feel safe on her own
is there a generalized feeling of being unsafe, not able to trust someone or others? herself?
where is it coming from...
Okay, I see what you mean, and that's a very good point. Thanks for the explanation!
any time (=
All the girls feels safe around me, well it makes me happy yes because they trust me blindly but the sad part is that i don't trust anyone because of my past experiences and the things that i see happening around me!
I hope it will be better for you.
Thanks miss Cielo
You are welcome!
One of the best feelings is when a girl tells me that. I think most men like being considered protective.
That’s very nice.
It also shows that she accepts you in her space. Basically calling you the opposite of a creep. There's not many better feelings than acceptance
Totally agree 👍🏻
Honestly it makes you seem a little psycho, like you're normally threatened by men.
Lmao
Maybe I am threatened by a mountain lion🦁
I'm just a chill dude who wants to enjoy the great outdoors and play some hockey, maybe pour some maple syrup on the ice and make it a real Canadian experience, eh? Sorry if I come off a little strong, but I'm just being myself and living that Canadian dream, bud! Now pass the poutine, eh!
@O_Canada I think you are in the wrong place lol
@on_my_knees lmao
Yeah it’s great to hear , of course. We (biological men ) are the protector aren’t we. At least in traditional gender roles. My head spins when I think about how that translates with modern aka mentally confused gender identities 😆
Yeah sure , I would love to hear people feel safe and comfortable around me in general but definitely more significant from a lover
Very nice
Absolutely, I strife to be a comfort zone so that means I am doing well ^^
Very good.
Girlfriend, yes. Normal friends, it's just cringey.
Why lol?
The implication and expectations of the relationships are different. My girlfriend is more important than most other people, so her feeling safe around me is good because it means she can (and should) trust me to protect her.
A normal friend isn't that same level of closeness so why would she expect me to protect her? And if not protect her, does she just feel safe around me because she sees me as docile?
Yes. Providing protection and security is part of my job, and it's important to most women that their man does so. Of course we appreciate knowing that she feels safe when we're around her.
That's the most important thing for a man to do, keep his lady safe
Nice answer
I used to, but after some bad experiences that led to trust issues it just makes me feel like I'm being played.
It’s nice to hear but I never really know what they mean by that and when some woman say it, my bullshit detector starts going crazy.
I do. Though as an AFAB that's kind of an assumed given for women that they'd be safe with me.
I tell my male partners I feel safe with them frequently. They value being safe for their loved ones a lot, and being a protector figure.
Of course we like that, assuming she means she knows we will protect her from threats. It's NOT good if she says this because she thinks you are too much of a simp to ever spark any sexual tension with her.
I didn’t get the second part
@cieloazul. If she just sees him as pathetic.
Why would she sees him as a pathetic
See*
Aww, who would think the simp thing? I’ve always felt that it’s actually so nice for a guy (whether a friend or an SO) to step up and protect you a little… to feel like there’s someone strong and capable to be with you or walk you home etc. Today for example it was POURING suddenly and one of the guys from our group dinner offered his umbrella and a walk to the bus, which was so sweet and appreciated. I’d still be standing at the restaurant otherwise.
@DishLady A man can only be "peaceful" if he is capable of violence. A man who cannot use violence is "harmless" not peaceful.
There is a world of difference between a "violent man" and a "man of violence". A violent man uses violence as his go-to emotion and is not in control of himself. A man of violence uses violence to to protect others from violence.
Ok, ok, I get you... There has to be the "potential" for danger even though the guy is docile. Like a gun with the safety on, right?
So then how do you resolve the concept of the good man who protects his loved one (s)? That's not someone I would look at and think of as violent...
(We can switch to DM so as not to hijack @cieloazul's question.)
I don’t have any female friends and i haven’t had a girlfriend in almost 10 years now so no
Yes , mames me want to protect her even more , to me it’s a compliment
I absolutely love that, that's the ultimate reassurance for me.
I would definitely like to hear this from a woman (most especially the kind of female I personally admire). It presents a strong notion that she is fully comfortable with me being close to her.
It certainly beats being called ugly
lol.
If it's my wife, yes.
What if it is a friend?
I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with that, it sounds too much like something someone who is interested in me may say. And I don't want to give my wife the wrong idea.
Your wife is lucky to have you lol.
But, other people also can feel safe around you without being interested in you, maybe it’s just a pure innocent feeling.
I guess it would depend on how it was said. I'm not communicating well I'm sorry.
Ultimate compliment! I love to heat that!!
Nice
yes, so they easily give us themselves totally!
I don’t see the connection.
I don’t think so, you need to know about real men.
Best feeling in the world
Nice.
Depends on what they mean by safe
It means protected
Then that would be good
👍🏻
