Why do I feel like some guys expect me to entertain them?

It's weird to me. They are always soft spoken guys on the richer end even if they can be very blunt then he will have a website saying he has great interpersonal skills. I am not that attractive and can be either entertaining or kind of boring. But it's like they just want to use me or expect entertainment. I don't understand as this is not mens usual reaction to me. I've given up on dating at this point as I don't think these soft spoken men and me are compatible. I am not conventionally good looking. Is there something about my vibe that makes them act this way? I really don't understand why some of them expect me to be so entertaining. If it's the right guy I can be entertaining but these guys will talk to me for like 5 minutes and decide I'm going to entertain them. Other people think I'm intelligent but guys like this also seem to think I'm stupid. I don't know where that disconnect comes from? I want to make a point that 95% of guys wouldn't even care that I exist. I just have an issue not being taken seriously by this kind of guy as I don't think I am dumb.
