I hooked up with a guy I would talk to. We were good friends. He found someone else after we hooked up, which hurt a lot because I liked him. I wonder if I were to make it obvious, then maybe we would’ve gone out or if I ever looked desperate. I tried not to say much because I feared of making it obvious that I liked him because I’m too traumatized to show a guy that I like him.

You said he found someone else after you hooked up, so unless he isn’t with her anymore then no, you shouldn’t tell him you liked him. It’s just an unfair predicament to put him in simply because you couldn’t work up the courage before. At least wait to see if they split up.

I don’t think you should since now he has a girlfriend or seeing someone. If he becomes single then tell him, but to do it while he is unavailable isn’t cool, not to him or her.

In a situation like this, generally speaking, your best option is usually to be somewhat coy -- take a little longer to return their calls, texts, etc, and act as though you're lukewarm about seeing them again. Because I'll tell you, every time I've let the other person know that I was getting into them more than before, I've burned in short order. It's just basic human psychology. This is even more true for a woman -- you always want the guy to be more enamored with you than you are with him.
