So me and my partner was on a break and I told him someone had asked for my number and he didn’t like it within less than 24 hours he told me someone asked for his number and he gave it and the only reason he gave it was because I gave my number out which I had clearly explained I hadn’t and I wasn’t interested. It’s just funny after 24 hours someone asked for his number is he playing mind games or

After he told me this I said I’m not bothered about him giving his number out it’s the fact the way he went about it after we spent the night together. He was like we haven’t spoken though I just gave my number what he was saying wasn’t adding up. I told him I want nothing to do with him anymore and I’m not even cool with him like that anymore and I haven’t contacted him since yesterday

Wow that does sound really confusing and annoying what that guy was doing to you. It's super sketchy that right after you told him about someone asking for your number, now all of a sudden someone asked for his number too like within a day. Like that's way too much of a coincidence, it really seems like he was just trying to get back at you or make you jealous or something. And then the way he said you guys hadn't talked but you had just spent the night together, that really doesn't add up at all. It's like he was trying to play games with you and mess with your head. I definitely wouldn't trust anything he says at this point if he's going to act all suspicious like that. You were totally right to tell him you're not cool with him anymore, he doesn't seem worth dealing with if he's gonna pull weird mind games. I would just forget about him and not give him another chance to manipulate you. You can do way better than a guy that acts sketchy and lies like that. It's good you're not contacting him anymore, I say just move on and don't look back cause he'll probably just keep trying to play games. You deserve someone who will be straight up with you and treat you with respect.

Anyone that does stuff like go on "breaks" during a relationship already are playing a game. Pretending the relationship is meaningful while you sleep with other people. That's really what a break is.

Does he sound like a manipulator? Yes. Is this probably new behavior? No. People choose to overlook obvious red flags because of the green ones they delude themselves into thinking it's all worth it.

Yeah I’m thinking that too. We was on a break due to cultural and religion differences as he was saying it won’t work and I said I will make it work we both can & we are both struggling to move on as we always find our way back together.. then when I told him someone asked for my number he said someone asked for his within less than 24 hours and yes the intimate life is really good
