Do guys regret treating girls badly?

I recently hooked up with a friend, we’d worked together several months prior to this and had been flirting on and off during this time. We always mentioned that we’d seen each other on hinge but we never did anything due to working together and he briefly got back with the an ex girlfriend which was apparently very short lived.

I left the job that we both worked at and shortly after he linked me on hinge and we started talking and agreed to move our friendship forward. We then hooked up and he kicked me out right after we had slept together and ended on slightly awkward terms

We then hadn't seen each other for several months and didn’ speak either, however I saw him again randomly whilst seeing some friends at my old workplace. The first time I saw him he was very smiley when seeing me and looked happy but we didn't really chat as he was with some friends and I was with mine, so we just did the generic hi how are you. Since then i saw him again and it was the same thing, but he barely looked at me or said anything the 2nd time, but i do think i saw him checking me out (i dont think he noticed i clocked this) The third time we were at a mutal friends party and he was a lot more chatty, he started conversations with me and seemed more aware of my presence if that makes sense, he seemed more like his normal self and we were a lot more chatty than the last time. I do still fancy him, but am worried about getting hurt and am happy with seem to sill be okay enough to be friendly. I just wanted a guys perspective and wanted to know if he is only being friendly so it isn't awkward around our friends or if he is making the effort because he feels bad for what happened between us. He also always views my instagram stories which i know doesn't mean much but it did get me wondering if there might be a second chance to try again with him

This is why you must vet every potential partner based on their morals, values, and life-goals before you get involved with them. And you probably already know this, even if you don't realize it: the guys you find the most attractive - which are the same ones every other girl finds the most attractive - are the LEAST likely to pass this test. That's because a guy who is widely attractive to women has endless opportunities with women, and so he has no need to commit to any one woman to get what he wants.

The real question is: do you have the discipline to stay away from those guys? And the discipline to vet every potential partner based on their morals, values, and life goals? And to take a pass on every guy who fails the vetting? Because if you don't, you're going to relive this same scenario over and over again, like most women do.

I can tell you that you are probably right. He's either just nice or wants you back. Most likely, he isn't even sure himself and it will go as it will go.

Question is what do YOU want to happen? And then give him a very good, can't miss it hint.

Yeah, I would definitely say the man that used you for sex is not a good prospect. I’m sorry if that’s blunt but I know it is a hard truth for self respecting women, nobody wants to feel used or discarded. There is nothing promising or worthwhile with this connection, he isn’t making a lick of effort when he absolutely has the means to do so. I think you should just take the situation for the casual hookup that it was and move on.
