Do guys regret treating a good women badly?

I have recently been broken up with. I am one month into limited contact. I was a very good girlfriend, I cooked, cleaned and always put him first. I even ran errands for him when he was super busy with work, and generally went above and beyond for this guy. I also never lied or cheated, or mistreated him in anyway! He’s given the reason for the breakup as that his friend is dying of terminal cancer and that he isn’t able to give me the ‘attention’ I need at the moment. We split amicably (sort of) and he’s asked me to remain friends to which I agreed, he also stated that he’d like to make contact in the future when his friend passes as he will need support and someone to talk to, which I agreed. Leading up to the breakup he treated me very disrespectfully, he was out having parties with unknown females and guys, doing drugs behind my back, lying about where he was. Just horrible behaviour towards someone who loved him and cared truly. I have told him how badly he’s hurt me and exactly how he’s made me feel but now I think that might of been a mistake, I shouldn't of told him. do guys regret treating a good women badly? How long will it take for him to realise? What should I do? Help because I feel like I’ve been so wronged and just genuinely confused.

I understand fully. But I actually broke up with him. I did everything I could but it seemed like he never ‘appreciated it’. He did things that he know would hurt me and all I tried to do was love him and he knows. I believe if you treated him right and he was in the wrong (whatsoever). He’ll regret it. It may not be today, or tomorrow, or next month but he will.

I have never, and most guys probably not either, treated a woman badly. We want to love women, not hurt them. It's usually the woman who chooses the wrong guy that's the cause for being mistreated. You sound like a good woman, but maybe you made a bad choice in a boyfriend. Just know, most guys want to be a good boyfriend to a good woman. Women need to choose better guys.

Sounds like he has some major issues with drug use and partying. Until he gets himself sorted, I doubt very much he will wise up and regret his actions. I'd stay away. Big red flags on that one.
