My boyfriend is mad at me for telling him I don't need any snacks?

My boyfriend said that he's sending some chocolates over because of my periods and I told him he shouldn't because it makes me break out. He then asked for substitutes and I told him he doesn't need to send me anything I already have enough food. He got mad and said that I'll never accept gifts from him, I'm the weirdest girlfriend ever, he's just trying to be a good boyfriend etc etc. I just told him he doesn't need to go out of his way to buy something for me bcoz it's not necessary, and he's mad that I don't "accept gifts from him" . Am I wrong?

Girl, I don't think you're in the wrong at all. It sounds like he's overreacting big time!

It was really thoughtful of him to offer snacks since you're on your period, but you were just being honest that chocolates would make you break out. That's not an unreasonable thing to say! And you said he doesn't need to get you anything else - which is true, it's not necessary to buy gifts just cause you're on your period.

I feel like he just wanna feel like a "good boyfriend" by showering you with gifts but is being way too sensitive that you said you don't need them. That's not the same as rejecting gifts - you were looking out for your skin!

If it were me, I'd tell him you appreciate the gesture but he needs to chill. Your periods are your business and you know what helps or doesn't help you feel better. Maybe suggest you guys do something fun together instead if he's just trying to support you. His behavior seems a little immature, ngl. Don't feel bad - you did nothing wrong!
