I started texting with a guy about a couple weeks ago, I’m not the best texter so if I will forget to text back for a few days then realize and I will text him but he says he doesn’t play those games & ask why I disappeared for that long. Is it reasonable for him to get mad?

Women do often expect men to pick up on passive communication and “vibes” they same way women do. Some women will go MIA over a mistake a man unwillingly made (stupid comment) expecting the man to “know why”.

Now I am not saying that’s what happened with this guy. He might just be oversensitive / paranoid (from past experiences).

It’s up to you if you want to continue conversation or not. He might be a decent guy once you get his past this incident. But again I don’t know the whole story.

I don't think it's reasonable at all for him to get mad if you don’t text him back, especially if you are just starting to know each other. He may have high expectations and want take it further, get into a relationship with you. But it seems a bit over the top. He comes over as needy.

Suppose you do get into a relationship. Will he get mad at you for not texting him every hour and letting him know where you are, what you're doing? He might want to control you 24/7 and that's not a good thing.

I don't know, it's up to you, but there's plenty of guys out there that are not as needy as him.

No. Some guys get crazy if you don’t text them back within seconds. That just tells you how much more pushy and crazy he’ll be done the road. I wouldn’t entertain thoughts of anything happening with that guy.

Yeah some guys do. I’ve had men get mad at me for not texting them enough, and I just got dumped a week ago for texting a guy too much (which sucks). It really depends on the guy.

Reasonable , no not in the slightest , it’s really quite irrational and unreasonable in my opinion. Nobody should expect a text message to be treated as priority , you respond when and if you can … that’s it. He needs to grow a pair and attempt to be a man !
