A boy who backed out when I reciprocated his feelings keeps looking at me. Today we had some singing show and he was quite near. And he keeps looking at me. We haven't been talking or texting after he backed out. Why does he keeps looking at me?

Man that's a really weird situation. I'd be so confused if I was you too! Like what even is that guy's deal? Seems like at first he was into you enough to start a talking stage, but then when you said you liked him back he got all freaked out or something. Like come on dude make up your mind! And now he's just sitting there staring at you all the time during this singing show? Talk about awkward.

I mean there could be a couple different reasons he's acting like this I guess. Deep down maybe he still does actually like you, but he got scared off before when things started to get real. So now he's just looking but not making a move cause he's worried about messing it up again. Or it's also possible he likes the attention of you being into him, but isn't sure if he really wants to date. Guys can be pretty confusing sometimes with that stuff.

Honestly if it was me I'd just ignore his staring for now. You said the talking stage ended cause he bailed, so it's on him to man up and actually come talk to you if he wants something to happen. I wouldn't waste my time trying to decode what's going on in his head from afar. Just do your own thing and have fun at this show! If he's really interested, he knows how to find you to have a conversation. Don't give him the satisfaction of knowing his looks are bothering you or anything. You've got this, don't even stress about what he's doing!

Good for you boo, ignoring him is definitely the right move! Don't give him the satisfaction of knowing he's getting under your skin with his staring. Guys like that are just trying to still get a reaction without committing to actually talking to you.

Even if deep down you're curious what his deal is, playing it cool and acting like you don't even notice him watch is the way to go. That'll drive him crazy wondering if you still care or not. Let him be the one stressing over it for a change!

Keep your head high and focus on yourself and your friends. Show him you're out here living your best life whether he's in the picture or not. Maybe he'll come around and maturely try talking again if he sees you're unbothered and have moved on.

Okay so this is purely a guess but it is likely just that he finds the situation awkward and so he stares subconsciously. He probably doesn't do it on purpose. That is my guess anyhow. It is just like a reflex to him because you are on his mind because of what happened. You don't give much context to what happened when he backed out if he seemed nervous or whatever but I think the most likely explanation is that he is just finding things awkward and that's why. Do you know that saying that it is hard to look away from a car crash? I know the comparison might be a little dramatic but it is sort of like that. He doesn't want to do it but he almost forces it.
