I’m a 41 year old happily married mama!! My husband and our son who’s a senior in high school are going on vacation next month!!! A beach vacation I had order a bunch of resort wear and bikinis. I was trying it all on. I got 4 bikinis 2 of them are thong style bikinis. I tried them on my son said “it’s a thong” I said “yea cheeky cheeky lol cute right? “ He goes yea I guess.. I asked him if it looks nice on me he said “yea sure” I could see he was bothered only by the 2 thongs. I’m 5’3 110 pounds im in very good shape I’m very tiny it looks cute on me I have very cute cheeks I Think lol. The thongs look good on me! Thongs on beaches have become super normal and I want to wear these thongs because they’re super cute, abd my husband will LOVE THEM on me lol.. I didn’t think anything of it at all!! My son seemed not upset but bothered but the thing bikinis!! I’ve always worn bikinis and last summer I wore some super cheeky stuff too and he never said a word! Are thongs ok for a family vacation in Mexico?

Your son just doesn’t want to see you dressed that way that’s all , kids’ tend to get grossed out by seeing their parents’ dressing like they are seeking attention. Your son is older , so he knows what guys’ will think when they see you in that thong , so he doesn’t want to be embarrassed by other guys’ hitting on his Mom or checking out his Mom , he might even talk to your husband and find out if he is ok with you dressing that way as well? , which it already sounds like your husband isn’t complaining lol. Most kids’ don’t like seeing their parents’ dressed that way or thinking their parent is trying to get attention from other people. It’s an embarrassment to them. My son is 19 and he hates when his 19 year old girl friends’ flirt with me , he gets all mad and upset that I am being friendly back to them , even though I am just being polite , he assumes I am hitting on them. I tell him to calm down that he has nothing to worry about , I am not going to bang his girl friends’ even though it crossed my mind a few times lol , I just back off , out of respect for my son. My kids’ hate when I start dating a new girl , they have a hard time not seeing me with their mom anymore. So I don’t introduce any girl I am dating to my kids’ until I feel she is in it for the long haul and not the short haul.
