How to confess feelings to a very close guy friend?

we've been very close friends for a while and i feel like he feels the same, but ofc i'm too scared to ruin the friendship. what are some signs he loves me too and how to approach him and tell him how i feel? he has never had a girlfriend and is very shy about romantic stuff

Well your main problem is you’re scared. There’s no way that the friendship won’t be affected whether you tell him how you feel or not. You have to decide if you actually want to try dating him or if you’d rather just keep things as they are.

if you Decide that you want to try dating, things will change regardless of how he does or doesn’t feel. You alternatively can let your feelings go and stay friends with him, but you can’t do both.

If you decide you want to try dating, then you have to make the decision and accept the outcome. Tell him that that’s how you feel. Pls do Not try stupid hinting or suggesting maybe you guys would just be perfect. It’s childish. If you want to date, tell him you’d like to date if you don’t wanna date then don’t say anything. People have been doing this for millions of years, nothing new. Everyone hasn’t dated before they start dating so the fact that he doesn’t have experience doesn’t really mean anything he won’t until he does like like you or anyone else. I have no idea why the answers on this post are so squeamish and like terrified of direct communication it’s odd and I’m surprised by this grown adults.

There’s nothing terrifying about telling someone how you feel, or hearing how somebody feels and that you’ve been feeling this way for a while, makes it more credible than just a whim. If he wants time to think about it. That’s perfectly fine, but if he doesn’t know, he can’t think about it and nothing happens. Meanwhile, you’re not gonna be dating other people either like you’re young but this does end up taking a lot of time like every time you like someone and then you wait a whole bunch of time because you’re worried about scaring them you’re wasting your own time in life, it’s not a bad thing. It’s good doesn’t really happen a lot. We generally feelings for people so take advantage of it. Or don’t. But make a decision, Don’t stay in limbo.

It’s also really good experience for you that you can be directed about how you feel and go after what you want. People waste their whole lives worrying about their feelings when it’s just a corner of your life.

If someone wants to run because you tell them that you’re feelings for them and let them run it’s not your job to spend your life tiptoeing around things that are natural just so other people don’t have a weird reaction. That’s a prison.

Telling someone that you like them and you like to try dating or whatever is not telling them to sign their life away., if they like you, they Will be very happy to hear it. There’s nothing to be scared about. You should be excited you’re about to solve a problem.
