What were the intentions of this guy coming up to me your opinion?

To start this off right, I have barley been approached given that I have social anxiety and self hatred, which i’m guessing you can sense but in my head, the reason I haven’t been approached has been because I feel ugly even though to others, I suppose I would be what you would call an 7 or 8.. I was recently out in a club on vacation and a guy came up to me, but the interaction is stuck in my head because it didn’t make any sense to me.

A guy walks up and basically says “I don’t want anything from you, not trying to bother you. I just wanna say you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen” and he walked off. Was this a prank? Was he dared to go up to me by some guy friends. I just personally feel like If I saw “the most handsome guy i had ever seen”, I would want to get to know him and not just leave it, and walk away. He doesn’t get anything out of telling me that if he is not planning on trying to start up a conversation so I’m a bit confused and feel like shit that it might be a dare :/

Could be truful but Moat guys that approach a girl and compliment her will get shut down so many will do as he does and cut the interaction unless the lady shows a intrest

No, he just wanted to compliment you apparently. He probably felt that it didn‘t make sense to pursue anything since you probably live very far away from each other.

It wasn't a dare. I believe he meant it. You probably are very beautiful. But your self esteem is hurting your confidence and trust in others.

Hmm, maybe it is just his style of game. He tells you are beautiful, you want more compliments and then you chase him.

Nope. I've done similar. Mainly to give a "pick-me-up" to someone who seems less than happy.
