I don't know that they always do. Men are more able to separate sex and emotion, but not everyone is ALWAYS able to do it. I would advise however, if your intention is to find a romantic partner, don't a "Friends with benefits" arrangement with the object of that desire.

Women will only sleep with a guy who she could see herself being in a relationship with which is why they often end up catching feelings.
With men it isn't like that at all. Sex is just sex. We could even have sex with a woman we hate. A lot of men could fuck a girl he doesn't find attractive, he just wouldn't brag about it to the boys.
