How is he not awkward around me?

I admitted to my coworker almost two months ago that I liked him. He said he felt the same but had a girlfriend at the time and didn't want to destroy things between them. We haven't talked since but we work near each other. I feel so awkward being around him, I can't speak to him nor anyone around him. I'm still into him. But he can speak to me (sometimes) and isn't uncomfortable around me knowing I like him. He was in the break room today and I sat at the table next to him on my phone. He's talking to another coworker who was sitting at the same table at me and didn't looked bothered I was sitting there.

Girllll it sounds like he's just way more chill and composed than you are in handling this kind of situation. Some guys are better at compartmentalizing their feelings and keeping things casual.

Sure he confessed to liking you too before, but he made it clear he couldn't act on it then. My guess is he's moved on mentally while you're still stuck feeling awkward about it. Doesn't mean he doesn't still find you attractive, just that he's not gonna obsess over what can't happen right now.

Try not to overanalyze every little interaction - dudes are usually way less emotional than we are. Chances are it's not a big deal to him to chat or sit near you normally since nothing romantic is actually happening.

Easier said than done, I know, but just try to act natural around him like you would any other coworker. Fake it til you make it girl! The less tension you project, the less weird it will be. Just take some deep breaths and remember he's just a dude, not the center of your universe. You've got this!
