If your guy orders you salad without asking what does it mean?

It means a lack of communication, if it bothers you.

In some cases, I can see it being fine, especially if you've communicated what you want with him already and then he orders on your behalf, or if you've known each other forever and he knows exactly what you want because he knows you so well. In those cases, I think it's sweet and thoughtful.

But if it's a guy I haven't dated for very long, I'd say "Wait a minute..." to the waitstaff, and then proceed to order what I wanted. Then, after the order, I'd just say, softly and privately, "Hey, I appreciate your initiative, but I prefer to order my own food, even if it is always the same. Please just ask me first if I'd like you to order for me in the future". If he makes fun of me or thinks it's dumb, he's being immature.

If the situation were reversed and I ordered a guy salad and tofu every time because I thought it was best for him, then most guys would consider that controlling and think I was crazy.

On another note, when a guy asks you where you want to eat... Always have an answer prepared. Never say, "Oh, I don't know!" ... and then expect him to read your mind. It's takes time to establish a man's knowledge of what you would like, and clear communication is the fastest way to do that. Just some friendly advice... :)

I don't think it means anything really. Usually when we eat dinner we start out with a salad 🥗. Salad is healthy for you right? Maybe he wants to care for you and your health so he made sure you had some nutritional food. Actually, I think it's very nice of him to do that for you.
Give the guy a break!!

The women that go on these popular social media sites are skeptical about anything and everything and every move a guy makes or says has to be dissected and put under a microscope first then take the thing to GaG and get a poll on what he means.

If your man knows what you want and you order the same thing every time then man has shown is observant, he listens. He knows the small details and doesn't want you to overthink such trivial details. In the man’s mind, this woman had the whole car ride to see the menu and still needs 5 minutes to decide at the restaurant. Has to go through the same backstory of what she likes and what she doesn't like. she always says she is not that hungry and when everything is said and done ends up with the salad anyways.

Why are all the poll choices negative. Maybe he knows you well, and what kind of salad you always order, and just making it easy for you. It's fairly common for one partner to order for the other. My wife often orders for both of us.
