Guys, Men do not ask interesting questions? why?

Went on a blind date it went well. He seemed smitten but back into normal life the texting is " hey how's your day " blah blah. I am engaging asking more detailed questions which he will answer with no specific questions in response to actually get to know me. It's something I've noticed about guys they'll talk about themselves and I'll listen and be inquisitive. However they never respond back with curiosity. Instead they'll say " You are so gorgeous and feminine - wow" . Am I missing something here. Do men not care about a woman's mind at all?

Here’s my opinion, it’s not a solid one for every man, but a lot of men are like this. I’ll catch some slack for it, but honestly a lot of men just don’t care about that stuff. A lot of men aren’t concerned about your education or your job. But we have to pretend we are. I think if it was possible w a better economy most men would want a wife, stay at home mom while he works. No not a slave either. A girl who wants the same. But w the economy these days and being called misogynistic for expressing that opinion makes it almost impossible to express that or get that. Men don’t talk much. The only time men will seem to talk a lot of if they’re more feminine. Like I grew up w my mom for a while, just the two of us so I tend to talk more. But men in general, a lot of us don’t talk. I’m not sure if this dude is really that into you. A man who meets a girl for the first time will almost always likely text her back and forth cause he’s so excited about her. Plus w texting, man really aren’t into that. Not to mention the more you text the more she just keeps writing. So if he’s trying to go or cut her lose if he keeps responding it doesn’t end. Not always but a lot of times.

I'm sure that a lot of guys simply don't think to ask the questions because texting simply isn't a good format for conversations like that.

Also, it's possible that he's had women give boring answers when he's asked those questions before. I know that a problem I've run into quite often is that I'll ask women deeper questions, but get incredibly bland responses. It seems like a lot of women get caught off guard by being asked those questions... it seems like men have never asked them to be interesting people.

I don't know if it's just cus they didn't like me, but I remember asking deeper, interesting questions in the past and it just seemed like they were getting annoyed. I still try but I'm a lot more likely to give up if I don't think she'll respond well to it.

Listen carefully because I know you will ignore this advice. We (guys) DON'T LIKE TEXTING. It's a terrible way to get to know someone.
