Do men ever hit on women out of desperation?

I‘ve had all my male friends hit on me as a woman, but despite the fact that I’m quite attractive and bubbly, I had the sense that I wasn’t most of these men’s type, because their typical types of women are very different from my the type of woman I am, in terms of my own age, looks, personality and experience. I don’t mind honesty. I think men often do this. Am I right?

You wrong about it everything here. They weren't desperate, they found you attractive, or thought you were easy, so they made a run at you. The type thing for guys is something women are so hung up on. It's just not true. They may have preferences, but guys will go after women they find attractive. Besides, how do you know every single woman that every single one of those guys has been with? You don't, there's no way.
