Why do some men refuse to believe a woman when she says she is happy AND single?

Some men really struggle with this, especially when you turn them down. They refuse to believe that a woman can be happy AND single or that she doesn't need them for anything, especially when it comes to those women who are happy, single, and childfree.

I don’t know… I think being single is better then being with someone you’re miserable with. People should wait until they are genuinely attracted to someone not just jump into a relationship for the sake of being in one.

I would say that men should be finding women who want them not women who need them. Because the women who “need” him are going to be the ones to burn him in the end. Not a woman as much who genuinely wants him major difference.

But all women are different but I will say that if you’re happy don’t be bothered by what they think. Maybe they are projecting their own unhappiness.

Because we all crave human contact, emotionally as well as physically.

Being happy and single is good and you have fun and comfortable with it but it's also self denial.

Its better to say not looking right now, just enjoying the freedom of being single right now. I think that's more what you mean, which is understandable because being in a relationship there isn't a whole lot of freedom to do your own thing as your spending it with them as they try to make you happy as well as you making them happy.

it says more about them. they're insecure because they can't feel happy alone and they project.

genuinely have so many people saying to me 'but aren't you lonely because you're single? i couldn't be alone all the time!'

and i say well im not alone all the time, and im definitely not lonely. im independent, i don't need to answer to anyone, i can do what i want when i want, i can see my mates, see my family, do all my hobbies i enjoy, im happy and secure in my choices.

id like to be in a relationship - i don't need to be in one remotely.

Because people believe that you always need a partner to make yourself happy in life. Or sometimes there's a reason why those people don't get into relationships anymore & realize that they're happy by themselves. I'm single but I wouldn't say I'm totally happy being by myself (because I'd love to have another person to share my love & affections with). But I'll always be childfree.

Because he was raised not knowing what the word No means , he was taught to believe he is always right and never wrong , His ego is through the roof by thinking how dare she not want a guy like me , she must be out of her mind. and talking out her ass. . It’s just how some people were raised , they were raised with a silver spoon in their hands and were never told No , they always got what they wanted when they can’t get what they want they always have an excuse and can’t accept they are wrong. This type of behavior occurs from both sexes , it’s pathetic.

Couldn’t answer for those men specifically , but I’d guess it’s basically that they are just not good at dealing with being rejected. The reason is likely irrelevant.

For what it’s worth I don’t believe any woman should NEED a man , I certainly don’t NEED a woman. I WANT the right woman in my life because having that adds to my life. She is tender , loving and caring. She makes me laugh and she gives me strength. She makes me better !.

I don't think men really care tbh. I know I dont. It's a little odd when women feel the need to express it when no one asked, but otherwise Im not sure why men would care. Just as some women are happy, single, and childfree, so are a lot of men. So, live your life. If you're truly happy, why let people that aren't bother you, you know?

In general humans are social creatures who crave interactions. So to the average person it seems like a self lie. For every rule there are exceptions. Humanity is a spectrum of behaviors. Stereotypes have a lot of confirmation bias. That is why people believe them. It's a cross you will just have to bear.

Also, being "single" is very different for a man than a woman. When a man is single, he basically eats, sleeps, works, and occasionally hangs out with friends.

When a woman is "single" she is riding the carousel hard. "Single" women have the highest body counts.
