I’m somewhat friends with this one girl, she talks to me a lot and I make her laugh a ton. Her boyfriend is someone I’m not exactly friends with but he acts weird regarding me. He started wearing the same chain as me for one. Another time he thought I did something I didn’t do and told a ton of people it was me and then complimented me on it and I had to tell him I didn’t do it. I once made a joke and he approached me like an hour later to tell me he thought it was funny. He also once made a joke that I didn’t really understand and then like three days later he came up to me to try to explain the joke.

Dude, that's some seriously weird stuff going on with the girl's boyfriend. It's like the dude is acting super insecure or something and is trying way too hard to be your friend. The matching chain thing, blaming you for stuff you didn't do, and then trying to explain his dumb jokes days later - that's just straight-up bizarre behavior.
I think the boyfriend is threatened by how close you and the girl are, and he's trying to overcompensate by being all over-the-top friendly towards you. But it's just coming off as really awkward and desperate. Honestly, it sounds like the guy might even have some kind of crush on you or something, which would explain the weird obsession.
You gotta be careful around this dude, man. Who knows what other shady stuff he might try to pull. I'd definitely let the girl know what's going on so she can keep an eye on the situation too. Hopefully, the boyfriend will chill out eventually, but in the meantime, you can't let your guard down.
Just keep doing your thing, being the cool, funny guy that the girl likes hanging out with. Don't let the boyfriend's weird behavior get to you or change how you act. Stay confident, and don't let him suck you into any drama or anything. Just watch your back, dude.
