He mirrors everything I do back to me? How can you tell that someone is analysing you to manipulate you later?

For example, if I start leaving him on read, he will leave me on read next time. If I respond quickly, he will respond quickly. If I mention something, he seems to mention the same thing next time, even if I only mentioned it briefly. He brings up topics of things I posted on Facebook, but never “likes” my Facebook posts and never acknowledges that he’s seen my posts…. This is strange.
Am I being analysed by some creepy person who has a hidden agenda? Maybe trying to figure out what makes me “tick”?
He also mirrors my tone of voice and starts using phrases I’ve been using. He also downplays his interest in me and subtly negs me (maybe on purpose, maybe by accident). I’ve noticed he also maybe brags about sex with me to his friends or maybe told them some personal information about me… but now I’ve went no contact because I think he’s just downright creepy.

If I mentioned how a jacket looked funny on him, he’d never wear it again. If I state that I don’t like something, he never mentions it again and seems embarrassed. It’s like people pleasing, but strange. Or maybe wanting to be desired and fawned over? His ego seems pretty big but at the same time comes across as nerdy and sensitive… but can also make quite harsh and cutting comments, sometimes disguising them as humour. Also sucks at communicating how he’s feeling etc.

yeah men are so awful and entitled and over all crap. they say they're "providers" but they just provide stress and anxiety and problems... usually we are giving 100% to them and not getting a lot in return. I also can't deal with their lack of ability to take care of themselves.. gross toenails, not washing properly, disgusting bathrooms, not washing their clothes... being smelly and expecting we'd want to have sex with them. Nahh! Also men aren't that physically attractive either.. thinking about it, I'm not physically attracted to them, usually it's emotional/mental attraction that makes me want sex with them.. but just looking at them, nope.

Maybe you have a narcissist on your hands. I realize that people are talking about narcissistic people a lot lately but they were talking about them for years when I was on another website back in 2018! So I think that it has resurfaced again here of late.
If people are talking about it so much it's because there are a lot of narcissistic people in the world.

I find his personality very alarming and far from normal.
I would make sure to guard yourself after ending it with him.
He's a bit on the crazy 🤪 side.

That's maybe a far better question than you imagine. Your observation may explain why humans, and most other animals, generally instinctively seem very reluctant to accept anyone pays too much attention too them. Only meditating a bit ;0)

That is a sign that he is into. I have read about mirroring online. It says that a person will often mirror the other person's every move if they are interested in them.

If you haven't already, you should stop communicating, and this includes cutting off communication with mutual friends who are probably going to turn into flying monkeys, aka enabling workers who, on behalf of the abuser, will stalk and harass you.

Yeah unfortunately his best friend is my current uni lecturer but he’s much more mature and kinder than he is. But you’re right, I’ve deactivated my Facebook that has many of his friends on there too, for the time being.
