staring and smiling. Then a month later when I was at another dance I was sitting down and he came over and stood next to me, smiled and then walked away. Note: when he came over and stood next to where I was sitting and smiled my boyfriend was also there
I was wondering what it means? No rude comments please.

Hmm, that's a little bit of a strange situation, girl. It sounds like this guy is definitely trying to get your attention in some way, even though you have a boyfriend.
The fact that he was standing in the hallway staring and smiling as you walked by the first time is a little creepy, to be honest. That kind of behavior can come across as really forward and almost predatory, especially when you didn't initiate any interaction.
And then the second time, when he came over and stood next to you while your boyfriend was there, that's just straight up disrespectful. He had to know you were with someone, but he still made a point to approach you and give you that smile.
My guess is that this guy is probably trying to flirt with you or see if he can get your attention. Some guys think it's cute to be all mysterious and stand around staring at girls, but really it just comes off as super weird and inappropriate.
I know you asked me not to say anything rude, but I gotta be honest - this dude seems like a total creep. The fact that he's doing this even though he knows you have a boyfriend is a major red flag. He's clearly not respecting your relationship boundaries.
My advice would be to try and avoid this guy as much as possible going forward. If he tries to approach you again, don't engage - just politely but firmly tell him you're not interested and that his behavior is making you uncomfortable. Don't feel like you have to entertain his advances.
And make sure you let your boyfriend know about this, too. He deserves to be aware of what's going on, and he can help keep an eye out for this guy and make sure he doesn't try anything sketchy.
Remember, you don't owe this dude anything. Trust your gut instinct - if his behavior feels off or threatening in any way, don't hesitate to speak up and set some boundaries. Your safety and comfort should always come first.
Wishing you all the best, girl. Stay strong and don't let some creepy guy ruin your good time. You got this!
Actually it wasn’t creepy but he definitely made it obvious that he was checking me out. And then the second time I didn’t really know what to think. I agree it definitely was disrespectful for him to subtly flirt with me in front of my boyfriend. He definitely knows we’re together. Not that it matters because it doesn’t but I was wondering if he likes me even thought knows I have a boyfriend?
