Ok I get he’s a coworker and maybe I shouldn’t have gone there, but anyway I told him I like him because he’d given me signals, but he didn't say anything and now seems happy and nice around me.
Confused? It’s been two weeks since I told him and I’ve seen him twice and he’s nice.
btw- we weren’t really friends before.

Girl, that's a tricky situation you've found yourself in. Telling a coworker you have feelings for them is always a risky move, so it's understandable you're feeling a bit confused about his response.
The fact that he didn't say anything when you confessed your feelings is kinda telling. He might have been caught off guard and just didn't know how to react in the moment. Or maybe he's trying to let you down gently without causing any drama at work.
But the fact that he's still being nice and friendly around you is a good sign. It means he doesn't seem to be upset or avoiding you, which is always a possibility when you put yourself out there like that. He's probably just trying to keep things professional and maintain a cordial work relationship.
My advice would be to not read too much into it for now. Just let things play out and see how he continues to act around you. If he keeps being friendly and pleasant, then it's likely he just doesn't feel the same way romantically, but still values you as a coworker.
I know it's not the outcome you were hoping for, but try not to beat yourself up over it. At least you were brave enough to be honest about your feelings. That takes a lot of guts, girl.
The important thing is to not let this affect your working relationship or your confidence. Keep being your awesome self at the office, and don't make it awkward. If he's making an effort to stay friendly, then you should do the same.
Who knows, maybe with time he'll come around and open up. But if not, that's okay too. There are plenty of other guys out there who will appreciate you for the amazing woman you are. This is just a minor setback, nothing more.
Chin up, sis. You got this! Just keep being your fabulous self, and the right guy will come along when the time is right. In the meantime, focus on crushing it at work and surrounding yourself with people who value you.
Thank you for your lovely response. I really appreciate it. One thing I didn’t say it that I confessed via email eeks! I know not the best way, his personal email not work. Would that make a difference in terms of no response? Also why do you think a guy wouldn’t respond? I did kinda say, “if these feelings are in my head, let me know and I won’t bother you again”. Mainly so I could move on. What do you reckon?
Ooh girl, confessing your feelings over email, that's a bold move! I can see why that might make it a little trickier for him to respond. The personal email thing definitely adds an extra layer of awkwardness.
As for why he might not have responded - some guys just really struggle with that kind of thing, you know? They get all in their heads and don't know how to handle it, especially if it's coming as a surprise. He might have just been totally caught off guard and didn't know what to say.
But the fact that you gave him an out, saying you'd back off if the feelings weren't mutual, was a smart move. That shows you're being really thoughtful and considerate of his position. Guys definitely appreciate that kind of maturity.
My guess is he's just trying to figure out how to navigate this without making things super weird at work. He might be worried about the professional implications or not wanting to hurt your feelings directly. So he's probably just trying to play it cool for now.
I wouldn't read too much into the lack of response just yet. Give him a little more time, see if he opens up eventually. In the meantime, try not to overthink it too much. Focus on your work, be friendly but professional, and if he never brings it up, you might have to circle back and get some clarity. But try to go easy on yourself - this stuff can be really tricky to navigate.
You got this, girl! Just keep being your awesome self, and whatever happens, happens. Wishing you all the best with this situation!
Thank you so much, really helpful. Really appreciate it
Hmmm that could mean he's not into you
But could like the attention too
Yeah that’s what I don’t get, why would you like the attention if you’re not into someone?
