If a coworker guy acts normal with you after you told him you liked him, what does this mean?

Ok not a great move, but I told a guy coworker I liked him after months of what felt like sexual tension, but he didn’t respond and now just acts normal?

So does this mean he doesn’t like me after all?

Also why’s he aacting normal when he could totally distance himself?

He still seems to be nice and offering to help, but without all the come on signs anymore.

If he doesn’t like me, why does he bother?

We work in different teams, so only sometimes cross paths.

He’s probably just thinking you were friends and didn’t realise you thought he was coming on to you. That’s why he’s still being friendly but has modified his behaviour slightly so he doesn’t come across as flirty.
If you don’t feel comfortable moving on with him as a friend then I’d let him know you appreciate him but you’re going to distance yourself a little until you’re comfortable.
Just my take. It doesn’t sound like he’s playing games.

I didn’t realise he did that.
Perhaps he didn’t realise his behaviour came across that way.
I might be wrong obviously.
Try speaking through your confusions with him of if there’s someone at work you really trust try asking them about his situation.
He may be dating someone else and has checked his behaviour with you as he realises how inappropriate he was unintentionally.
If he didn’t care about giving you the wrong impression he wouldn’t have changed his behaviour.
I hope something positive comes from this situation for you.
