why would a guy need months to wait to talk to me again after a falling out? he said maybe we can talk again in a few months after we both cooled down. but months? what does this mean?

That could go a number of ways. It could mean that maybe he’s really mad at you for whatever reason. So he wants time to think about whether he should continue to talk to you. I don’t know what the situation is but that could be one possibility. The other is he’s not really into you. He might think you’re ok for a backup for now if he wants to try to bang you. So it is possible he has another girl he’s working on. You’re just on the back burner in case something doesn’t work out w this other girl. Hell even if things worked out w another girl you could be that burger on the side that he wants to eat every now and then. Men love steak but once in a while they want a burger.
