When someone asks you what your (physical/looks) type is, what do you say?

Is it hard for you to explain? Or easy?

Is there a singular word or phrase for your type that you can easily just blurt out? Or do you have to explain a list of physical details/traits (or show an image) to get the picture across about what you like?

Is there a celebrity or fictional character that fits the body type you like?

Are there multiple body types that you like? And if so, is it a lot of them? Or just a few? And are they similar? Or are they very different from eachother?

I ask this because I've had lots of women ask me what my type is in terms of looks, and I tend to have to explain a trait list because I don't know what my type is called, and finding an image of my type is pretty difficult (or I just don't know the right keywords for it).

Even though I've seen my type in person on the street or in buildings a bunch of times (and a few times in amature porn), I don't know of any celebs that match it, and the animated characters that mostly match it aren't detailed enough to get the picture across what the real versions would be) so I can't just say "I like this person's type of body".

Often in an attempt to explain examples, they tend to reply with "oh, so like (insert celeb name), and I look that celeb up, and sure enough, no, thats not what I meant.

I already know words to describe the mental type I like, but the physical labeling has me at a loss.

I have a pretty wide range of even my "ideal" - I mention I kind of like the punk or goth look, but understand we would probably not get along well, as these women tend to be more political (and usually on the "other side of the aisle" - while I'm middle of the road, I suppose I'd most closely align with libertarian... or independent with a conservative lean... I just like the look. And some of the "punk" girls in high school were gorgeous under all the makeup.

I don't even have a celebrity ideal, as there are a lot of gorgeous women. I'd probably go for thin to average, probably more thin, takes care of herself, especially, but not someone whose life and identity are about working out constantly. Curvy is fine, though a lot of people tend to put morbidly obese girls in that category - Oh, I'm curvy!" Nah, you're pushing 400 pounds at 5'4. We're beyond curvy.

Someone who can have a slice or two of pizza, as long as she's not getting pizza twice a week every week (and eating half all the time).

I'm not obsessed about taller or shorter, though I think shorter might be my preference.

I tend to be more interested in girly girls as opposed to tomboys, but there are caveats with that. I don't want someone who is so obsessed with her looks that we always end up three hours late (or... start early enough and account for all that time) for every event. I'm too "type A" in that sense - being on time is like being late. Someone who doesn't look completely different with makeup.

I'm a sucker for pretty eyes.

I think more personality and decency will be more attractive.

I like athletic, sporty type of girls - fit and toned, not extremely muscular.  As an celebrity example I would say Allison Stokke. Basically, I like girls who are like a modern type of Amazons.

Just want to comment that there seems to be some confusion about what hourglass figure is in a woman... It is, very specifically, a body shape where the bust and hips are roughly the same size, with a narrow waist. There's not a lot of variation; it is all about bust to hip ratio being nearly equal. And, it can be on the slender side or heavier side, though very skinny or very heavy seems to wipe our the required ratio.

That said, lol... My preferred body type for a man is athletic but, specifically, swimmer/surfer/cyclist type. Long, lean, well developed musculature, but not bulky. And he is deceptively strong. I prefer darker hair and features, somewhat olive to darker skin. BUT, I definitely had a thing for a certain red headed, blue eyed guy when I was 18ish. So, if I were available, I wouldn't rule anything out bc someone who isn't my "type" could end up being very much my type!

Ok... Blond, blue eyes, at least 5"10, slim or toned. Can have glasses or no glasses, idc. I tend to gravitate towards the nerdy type of guys... but I also have an eye for the emo/scene guys or jocks. A nice smile: by that I mean he probably had braces in high school but not required. A soft (but not effeminate) kind presence.

On the inside: kind, passionate about something he likes to make, study, or learn about. For example: the guy I currently like plays the piano by memory. He is super smart as he was homeschooled (first pic). Having a kind disposition. I don't usually like being teased initially until we've gotten to know one another, then I feel comfortable doing so. Being handy is a plus but not required and loving God. The guy I like does... but not sure what will happen. Also he can't be cocky, definitely needs to be humble.

It's a short and simple list, so it's kind of surprising how many women disqualify themselves.

Thankfully, I found myself a good one, so I am not on the market.

Hmmm... I've always struggled with this sort of question because I never really knew what to say, lol.

But anyway, the best way I can describe it is "I know it when I see it." I don't really have a specific favorite physical/looks type or anything, and I don't have any set rules, but when I find a woman attractive I just find her attractive. There's not even any specific pattern to what I find attractive either.

Some things I'll probably NEVER be attracted to though, a woman who is either extremely underweight or extremely overweight. So basically weight extremes in either direction. So not an 80 pound woman but not a 500 pound woman either.

Other than that though I can't really think of any specific turn offs. After that it's just individual to individual.

Women won't believe this but I don't really have a "Looks" type. There are tons of women who are plenty physically attractive to me. When I think about my type, the things I really struggle to find are intelligence, curiosity, playfulness, a sarcastic wit, a healthy sex drive, empathy, confidence, self respect all wrapped up in one body.

Looks will fade. Brains and personality are for the long haul.

It can definitely vary for me. My type is usually within a certain age range (mid to late 20s) but almost all have the same height (5’7-6’2) or baseball player or skaterboy physique just different hair styles (mostly all short cut or shaved but not bald) depending on the ethnicity/race

Personality: intelligent, kind, honest. Honest is key.

For men, their physical type is mostly going to be thin with big boobs, and face wise, quite a chiseled look.

no, football player build, pretty much all upper body. I have all of my teeth and most of my hair.
I was a big kid, 6' tall 56" shoulders, 200lb and a 34 inch waist. Might just be why I ended up being a truckie.
Gravity has shifted some of my upper body which is now a bit lower, but I can still keep up and put some of the younger members to shame, but I have years of experience on my side which I am passing on to others.

Purely physical type? Lean, but strong. I'm not attracted to heavily bulked or "big" guys. Tall, yes, of course. I tend to not view blonds and red heads romantically; no idea why. European features draw my attention more than others.

I say that I don't have one. I find personality, having shared values, interests and life perspectives far more important to me than one's wrapping and outward appearances, which can be deceiving. On top of that, I'm ace and demiromantic
