I’ve been chatting to this guy, and we have intense chemistry. He has expressed that he doesn’t trust himself to fall in love right now. We both kind of know that we’ll be intimate soon—we’ve already kissed.

Last night, he said something that’s been making my mind race. He told me that after we’re intimate, there’s something he has to tell me that might disappoint me. He didn’t want to say it now because he doesn’t want it to ruin the first time and admitted he probably shouldn’t have mentioned it at all. He described it as a ritual/decision he follows to keep himself sane.

What could he possibly mean? Could it be that he needs time alone afterward, doesn’t sleep over, only gets intimate once or something else? What do you think?
