i'm just not sure what to do if i ever see him again , the whole thing was really weird. he like started coming at me with accusations that i was checking out his girlfriend and into her.
but i had never meet him so i didn't even know who his girlfriend was as she was not with him when he came over and started saying this to me.
i didn't even figure out who his girlfriend was till the next day when i did some poking around on social media, turns out she was at the bar that night and with a group of 4 or 5 other girls , i did notice them when at bar but i never specifically noticed her or checked her out and have never even meet her and only seen her at that bar twice and never once have we talked or even meet.
i did notice one of her girlfriend's though but didn't even really check her out either , it was like a brief view as they walked by , all i can think of was he though i was looking at his girlfriend when i briefly looked at the other girl
but i don't " like " his girlfriend , she seems ok and such but i was never like checking her out the way he tried to describe it as , it was so crazy he even wanted to like fight me over it and asked to go outside but i said no ( when he asked at bar keep in mind i still didn't even know at time who his girlfriend was or such )

Yea dude. Don't worry about not "going outside" for a bar fight over some bullshit you don't even think happened.
This dude was one of two things (possibly both)
1. A dude who went out that night, knowing he was going to get in a fight with somebody. There really are guys (and groups of guys) who do that shit. Part of the "fun" of Saturday night is the fight they will make sure happens that night. It's hard to fathom for normal people. But there are guys like this in every city.
2. A (probably) abusive, possessive violent psychopath. He really did want to fight you because of whatever he saw having to do with you looking at his girlfriend... in the way you describe. (not really clocking her at all. Not checking her out, not doing anything)
It's one of those two or both. Either way, it's not something you need to really worry about understanding. He was a guy who was fucked up, and wanting to fight for a really dumb reason. It doesn't sound like you need to change your behavior to avoid a repeat in the future. I think it was more chance than anything. You ran into this guy. He was on a hair-trigger for one of these two reasons (both of them really fucked up reasons).
Be glad you didn't end up arrested or in the hospital. You definitely made the right choice not to fight this guy.
Think of it like a mugging. If you weren't doing anything reckless, there's no reason to let this incident change how you live your life. It's just chance. Bad luck.
forgot to mention also saw him do drugs in the washroom , that actually happened first before he accused me of looking at that girl. i also wondered if perhaps that was the real reason he targeted me , was that i saw his drug use and he didn't want bar to know about it or it just really messed him up that night
either way don't like his girlfriend and never even meet her , she seems too descent to be wasting her time with him anyways
" she seems too descent to be wasting her time with him anyways"
It's so often the case. So often.
He wouldn't do it because he was worried you might tell sombody he was using drugs. I assume it would have been cocaine or methamphetamine snorted that you saw. Both drugs are notorious for making people aggressive.
If he saw you witness it, it's quite possible that's when he decided firmly that he didn't like you.
Either drug is almost certainly a part of the equasion. The same dude may very well not have picked the fight if he weren't on the drugs. But dude, I've been around a lot of drugs a lot. This is about the guy. Don't think a regular guy used drugs and went crazy. A crazy guy used drugs and went crazy on you.
It was running into a bad fucked up dude. Not running into a dude who did some drugs.
thats what i though too , the drugs messed him up
he wasn't really aggressive looking , younger hipster type dude who was sort of tall and thin
You really can't always tell by looking at somebody how fucked up they might be. Sometimes you can for sure tell that somebody is of an aggressive type. The ones who are aggressive, but don't look it, are often the most fucked up ones. The drugs contributed for sure. But... still, this is a personality/character trait this guy has even without the drugs.
You doing alright now? Or still feeling shaken up?
i haven't seen him or the girl since , that bar is actually in another nearby city i only go to now and then
as mentioned don't know his girlfriend and pretty certain i've never actually meet her there
Yea, I wouldn't worry too much about it. You've never seen them before at that bar, and you don't even go often yourself. It's not at all likely he'll even remember you (you're not going to be the only guy this guy thinks is looking at his girlfriend wrong who he tries to fight).
If you're at all worried about it, just go to a different bar whenever you're in that other city. The fact that you said "city" makes me confident you'll never see either of them ever again.
small city though but possible we don't see each other again as often that does happen at bars
Exactly dude. That does happen at bars. No more chance of it happening on any future bar visit; as there was during every visit before this last time. Odds are very good that this was a random thing that's not going to ever happen again. I'm glad it doesn't seem to be fucking with you too badly.
i hope that i never see him again , if i saw those girls again i really doubt anything much would happen anyways as i don't really know them well or at all
That's also right. Nothing would happen. To be honest, the guy won't even remember you. You'll just look familiar to him vaguely (if that)
went back to that bar on Friday night , didn't see him or that girl there , hope your right that i never see him again ever
Good! Yea man. You're not going to see him again. Hopefully you'll end up forgetting about it for the most part. Glad you visited your regular bar though.
Yeah he’s mentally unstable , I hope she leaves him.
it was all really weird , like at time i didn't even know who his girlfriend was , all i know was that it might of been one of the girls in that group but i didn't know which one and was not aware she was his girlfriend. until i saw picture of her online the next day but either way don't like her in the sense and was not specifically checking her out in the way he described
Yeah I would try to avoid him at all costs.
i've never even meet his girlfriend , i only saw her briefly from a distance at that bar when she was with her girlfriend's and definitely not romantically interested in being with her
Poor woman.
i also saw his use drugs in the washroom ( possibly cocaine ) this actually happened first before he accused me of liking his girlfriend, i wondered if this might of been the actual reason he targeted me , was i saw his dirty secret or the drugs really messed him up that night
Yeah people who do crack can become aggressive.
