Um no, I don't think so. I'm quite aware of myself, cognitive, intellectual abilities and appearance and don't consider myself superior to others. I know well there are a lot of people, who are way more intelligent than myself, talented, charismatic, patient, or funny and of course attractive (actually my looks are my weakest point. I don't fit conventional beauty standards by any means or any beauty standards in history). Even though I appreciate some aspects of fashion, colorful, elaborate, ethnic or whimsical costumes for the creative process, I dress in the plainest clothes, a pair of ole jeans, t-shirt and/or sweatshirt and never wear makeup.

I'm in a constant battle with myself about every little thing, I always second guess my choices and critique myself, so I don't think I'm that vain

Let me think about it.

No I don't spend time obsessing about my appearance nor do I have the best opinion about myself in general.
Not that I am insecure, but it is just not something I really think about.
I can be selfish though but that does not necessarily equate to being vain.

I sometimes wonder. For example, say you die and sacrifice your life while pushing a child out of the way of an oncoming car.

What's the point if not vanity? I keep trying to wonder why I'd do such a thing and have tried such things in the past, and I keep thinking -- maybe it's vanity.

I'm hoping it's not but where else is there? I wanna be remembered as a good man, ideally even in a hero. That ambition exceeds my own life.

Maybe for theists, it's very simple. You wanna go to heaven or something and want to be rewarded. But I'm an atheist, so I often suspect it's vanity in my case.

Vain means having or showing an excessively high opinion of one's appearance, abilities, or worth.

In the sense of physical appearance, I'm definitely not vain. I'm average at most. I flex in the mirror sometimes after a workout though. Love that workout pump 😂

I might be a little arrogant in the sense of intelligence though. I find that too many people lack logic or the ability to rationalize concepts. It's to the point that it frustrates me. I definitely don't think everyone should be allowed to vote.

About my appearance, no I am not vain, never was. Why? Well I've got a mirror, I'm a 65 year old bald, overweight man. When I was 16 I was a balding teenager wit a really bad 70s haircut. A skill seemed lost to the more recent generations is accurate self assessment. I'm not saying I'm 100 percent accurate in my self perception, but I'm aware I'm not competing with Brad Pitt for movie roles. Tic Tok and other What I have been vain about is my nursing skills. I have come to the realization that, while yes I'm pretty good, I am not wonder nurse. It has occurred to me that that puts more pressure on me than is healthly. It's ok to be good, but not the best.

I think I’m vain in a lot of ways
I have plenty of simplistic aspirations in life
Financial success, big house, fast car, a boat
Physical fitness, visible abs, muscles, tattoos

But I also care about many deep and meaningful things as well

No, I need to be told if my hair is unkempt and even then I still dgaf. Clean clothes though for sure but personal grooming isn't a thing high on my to do list. I WILL do it if someone wants me to but not bothered about how I look, I don't have to look at me so it doesn't affect me.

I didn't think I was. But I've come to realize everyone has a little bit of vanity. I wear a uniform to work and I've found my self preening myself to stand out a bit. Lipstick. Occasionally mascara or blush.

It's difficult to estimate level of own deficits and negative traits by oneself. However I've never heard vanity in invectives about my person, so I guess it's not very dominant.

No years ago I thought I had to work on my defects but I wasn't vain. till this day I continue the only thing I do and think it's funny. I press on the gas fast when a slow old week car tries to beat me to the green light

No. I have a solid sense of self in terms of what my general purpose is, etc., so I do strive to look presentable and appealing, but I'm not obsessing for hours on how I look or am perceived.

I haven't a vain bone in my body. They are all filled up with sloppy dressing fluid. If it doesn't have embarrassing holes it is good to wear.
