Why would a guy keep staring at me during multiple months?

To the shop I go to buy my food there's a worker that literally stare at me every single time I go, when he see me he stop what he do to look at me, I didn't think much of it until my friend commented on it (about how she found him creepy because no matter if I'm far or near he continue to stare hard at me) and last time I caught him staring so I stared back at his face and he kept staring without any shame to my face.

He have been doing this for months like 8 months, I did not think much of it, did not even notice him before my friend commented on it but now I'm kinda creeped out by his stare, dude don't even look away when I caught him, just continue to stare hard at me.

In my experience, cultural traits aside, someone staring continuously, shamelessly, like you describe, is the sign of mental impairment, mental illness or a combination of both.

I think he should be harmless considering the amount of Time he did it and did nothing to me.
When my friend told me he stared at me hard and even from afar I decided to stare back, he just continued to stare at my face without shame while locking eyes.
I m not sure what to do except ignore him.

He stare at me no matter if i m near or far and don’t take his eyes off me, i never really give it much thought but my friend did and she told me that she just never take his eyes off me even from afar just follow me around with his eyes and when i caught him i stared at his face thinking he would look away but he did not just kept locking eyes with me shamelessly, like je don’t care at all if i see him looking neither does he care if my friend caught him he just don’t stop

Usually I find it flattering but now I m getting a bit creeped out, last Time he stopped me to Check for my receipt without any reasons and the fact he just stop his work when he notice me to stare at my face without shame is making me feel a bit uncomfortable

i liked it until I found out he stared too intensely. @Gayuglycowardv3 I was polite I gave him the receipt without saying anything but I mostly ignored him to do something else then I just stared at him until he finished the check it (but he did not really check it) just mostly stayed close to me.
To be fair I never noticed him much before he asked to check my receipt and when he asked me for it is when I noticed he was pretty cute (my friend then told me that he's been staring at me hard for multiple months) and after this I went back to the shop another day and it's when I caught him stoping what he was doing to stare at him and I hold his stare. I didn't smile though just kept my face neutral and he did too.
It's awkward though to give worker your number no? Especially since there's camera everywhere I'm not so sure his boss would like it so much
