What do you do if guy doesn't text you back but your're in a group chat together?

I go to a half day art school and there's two sessions AM session in PM session i go on the PM session but sometimes we go on trips and it's usually one of the only times the a. m. and p. m. Classes can meet each other so eventually we all get to know each other a little bit and everyone's pretty friendly with each other so we make a group chat and we're pretty active, having conversations.

So theirs this guy in the a. m. class who I think is pretty cool, so I text his friend and I'm like I think he's pretty cool should I slide? So I do, I text him and that was a couple days ago and he didn't respond I don't even think he really open the text either, But the awkward part is we're in a group chat together we've also had conversations one to one in the group chat so I know he can see my texts and we're also in a Discord server together and I can see when he's online So I know he saw the notification but didn't open it.

So what happens when the group chat plans to go out and we're both there. That's going to be really awkward. Do I not show up? What happens when there's a conversation in the group chat and he asks a question, do I not respond? So what should I do?

Just move on. Sounds as though he doesn’t think you’re “cool.” In fact he may be creeped out or bothered by you messaging him directly. Maybe he’s w someone. Maybe he doesn’t want to be w someone. Maybe he doesn’t want to be accused of something so he’s avoiding the one-on-one. I’d just move on. Ball is in his court but doesn’t look like he’s willing to play.

I suggest you continue on as usual and leave it up to him to reply to your private message. His loss if he doesn’t.

Either stop getting in his face and trying the subtle way or make a face to face move saying you like him and want to see if you and he can do something together. Invite him for a coffee or lunch between your classes or something
