How did the digress from 400 to only 8? Come on guys, what are your reasons for not smiling? Remember, a smile is just a frown turned upside down. Do you not know up from down? 🙃

I guess that with age, they have less and less to smile about.
First, trying to find a woman that will accept their idiosyncrasies is not an easy task. Lots of head shaking by the females when they confront those men.
Then, trying not to worry about so many things only men worry, such as:
1. length (or shortness) of penile attachment
2. 6 pack (or lack thereof)
3. not reaching 6'5'' in height
4. being a dropout in college or university
5. being a slave of their testosterone
6. trying to impress women
7. dealing with rejection
8. finding a job that pays millions without having to work
All those worries do impact on the ability to smile more often.
Men, if you would not worry about # 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, then you would reach your daily quota of 62, like women that do not have those worries.
A couple of reasons. 1st we are socialized to avoid any that anyone might even hint is "gay". Yes, I know it's stupid, but it's true. Some guys can't do anything they thing might make them not immediately recognized as John Wayne/ Clint Eastwood/chuck Norris, even normal healthy stuff. Second, a lot of being a man doesn't really make you happy. Women have decided they only want to us if we're rich, tall and sexually neutered.
I have a 6 year old nephew who I love very much, and am very close to. I actually ask myself this all the time. I've asked this all the time since he was born. I'm still asking it now.
It's a great question. It's a great question to think about even if you can't reach an answer. What happened indeed. To all of us.
And... it's not a men thing. I got lost in your question and forgot how you worded this. It's a people thing. Not a men thing. I have a 3 year old niece I'm just as close with. I marvel at how naturally joyful she is. It's not a men thing. It's a people thing.

We just don't have as much to smile about, anymore.
When you're a baby, everything is new and fascinating. When you're an adult, the novelty has worn off, you have more responsibilities, and more worries. You have people depending on you, and less time for joy.
I'm lucky if I smile 8 times a month.
Fewer reasons to smile. More worries.
In general the more in the moment you are the more you smile. We are all conditioned to live based on the next moment instead of this one. I am as guilty of it as anyone else.
Men have so little reason to smile.
They're creeps if they smile at a woman, pedophiles if they do it at a child and gay if they smile at another guy.
Better to remain stoney faced and observe.
One could also look at the troubles men experience as men, lower status unless they fit on the 6s list of expectations to be of value, that we're more at risk of being killed either in crime or work, that the education system is geared against boys success as well as being told throughout childhood they are less good than their girl peers, smaller,

and are expected to learn things the hard way instead of be given equal treatment by parents who teach and train them to do things.
That they are expected to SERVE for others and sacrifice their happiness for the better good while expecting... I can't think of what a man should expect from the world that the world provides for him
You shouldn't listen to the Democrats then.
@NoDecision
We should listen to autocrats? Or DICKtators?
How about maybe women start the reverse journey to become feminine instead of rushing to be like men?
Some smile, some don’t. Were a different specie!
And here I thought they were humans. What was I thinking?
It’s a figure of speech. Men and women are different from each other. We behave different. Outlooks, tastes, what’s attractive. You name it
I'm still a baby. I would have to say I'm anywhere from one hundred to 400 times a day easy
I just don't feel the need to smile or laugh. A pet peeve of mine is when people laugh while watching a movie/show. I don't know why
@sirderpsalot123 You didn't laugh during Spaceballs or Airplane?
I laugh on the inside
Men have to operate in the real world woman and babies dont
Women don't? I bet you had one that changed your diapers.
@NoDecision No, unfortunately women have the privilege of operating in delusion.
OK, so we have established that you never wore diapers. Good to know.
@NoDecision in my opinion your comment only establishes the fact women don't live in reality.
Maybe we just suppress our emotions, and try to think logically more?
