Why do short men get upset when simply state facts?

I've told plenty of tall men that they're tall, no issues.
Telling a short person that they're short? They get passive aggressive or straight up crash out. Why is this?

Because there is a social stigma about short men being unattractive and in current societal standards if you are considered unattractive physically, you are unlovable, which is how they are interpreting what you say.
