Am I getting played?

There’s this guy who for the past month has been waiting outside of his class for me, constantly saying hello to me, giving me little things and he’s even made me something. Over the past week he’s sort of backed off which is whatever. But today me and my friend group were out in the hallway and I have my computer camera on and I see him staring at me through the camera for like ten seconds. Now this isn’t abnormal because he usually stares at me a lot and for a long time. He’s even peaked his head through my classroom door many times to look at me? Anyways, he stares at me for ten seconds then walks over to another group of people and stares at ANOTHER girl for ten seconds? THEN comes back to me and stares at me? I’ve been noticing that lately he’s been walking with a lot of different girls which is whatever. A lot of people find him creepy because apparently he does this A LOT. But I really thought that I was the only one. He also goes to the same gym as me so I’m really confused. I know I’m going to be seeing him a lot this summer just because we both go to the gym a lot. What do I do and what does this mean? Also why in the world is he doing this
