We are all inclined to believe what we want to hear and both guys, girls and politicians will tell their audience what they want to hear to get something out of them.

It sort of our fault really. It might be true or it might be false or could even be partially true. I think the only way is to see if it is consistent over some time.

If somebody is using sweet words to get something out of you, they will disappear if they don't get it.
