So I started my now current job back in November 2023 where I did 3 months with a group of newbies, like myself at the time and I ended up going to one of the main offices with a small selection from that group once we had the basics covered. There's a guy who is probably one of the nicest I've ever met, who's married and with kids. We chatted a bit, pleasantries but nothing more. Since joining our office last January and despite being on the same team, we don't really see each other that much due to schedule conflicts but a few things over the last 6-9 months or so have made me question if he's just being nice. A lot of people at work joke about my coffee intake, and he suggested that I buy a flask & cafetiere in 1 combo as he had 1 and found it useful. Several months back, he was recommended that he come to chat to me, after a distressing work call as he's one of our trained peer supports and I couldn't help but notice that he proper man spread when facing me and stared whilst we chatted.
He recently told me about coffee bags and offered me one a few months ago to try out totally out of the blue. Today, he asked me if I had ever bought the flask and cafetiere combo or bought the bags. It could absolutely be nothing and that he's a nice guy. But whenever he says or does something like, I can't help but think is there an under lining current to it?
As far as I'm aware, he's happily married with kids and I'd never go for someone who's involved in any kind of serious relationship. So it often confuses me unless I'm not used to being treated in a nice way, which is totally possible! TIA!!
