I know when someone isn't that into me, I got the hint and tried to exit as quietly as I could and each time he would draw me back in. I've unfriended him a few times but few times he would message weeks later asking why. He ghosts me so I think it's done and then comes back with excuses.

His latest was why have you fallen out with me question? I replied "because I got the hint" he left me on seen and something I never done before was follow up with another message " this is what I meant by I got the hint, you blank my message, you blank me to my face but ask me why questions" again it was left on seen. I just blocked him afterwards.

But the lack of reply was my answer that he didn't like me yes?

You don’t need this closure, you already have your answer based off his actions alone and you’ve gotten that answer several times in the past. Yet you chose to lean into the naïveté of listening to his words rather than his actions. That was an active choice you repeatedly made and now you’re in your feelings because he gets to be the one to walk away when it should’ve been you, time and time again.

He did walk away and I let him, I never chased him, I'd send a message and he would ignore it or leave me on seen so I done what was right and wrote him off and distanced myself, there was no drama I got the hint repeatable, even when he asked me what I wanted done with my stuff I told him to bin them. I was distancing myself because I knew he wasn't interested in me.

Well you efforts to distance yourself dont really matter when you keep being drawn back in. You keep hitting the restart button on getting over him.
